This was my very first daguerreotype. It was a still life of paintings and sculptures. I created this daguerreotype in 1837. This is one  of my favorites.

  1. I really enjoy your artwork. I have always been intrigued by artists who take inspiration from science. A daguerreotype seems to be a state of the art piece of art, if you pardon the expression. I've noticed that you were also shunned by the general public and encountered impostors! How strange that we are alike in some ways! The fact that you have created a "diorama" or "illusion theater" is extremely intriguing! I have been interested in science, however not so much as to make a career out of it! I applaud your art and hope to see many more beautiful pieces in the future.

  3. I love this piece of this artwork. The showdows and darkness says so much, I've never really enjoyed dark paintings, but I love this one.
